R2D2 hacked

This nifty piece of furnishing is exactly what you hope it is upon first seeing it. It’s an R2D2 console rack that houses eight consoles and a projector. It will probably look much cooler with its eye ablaze and all unused controllers tucked away.

Incredible R2D2 Hack has 8 Consoles + Projector on Hack N’ Mod

  • Retrospective: Homeworld Retro Article
There are games that we love to play and then there are games that we love to… well, just love. Above all others Homeworld has established a place in my heart that will likely only ever be relinquished should its achievements become the norm rather than the rare exception in gaming.
  • Wordplay with a Distracted Apprentice (Magical Wasteland)
Space or not, “video game” is a pretty unsatisfactory term if you think about it. It shares a problem with “comic book” in that it is really a misnomer: most comic books are not comic at all, and “video” games depend on many vast domains besides the purely visual.

Coming soon: Blood Drive

The new game of Activision combining tough racing action and zombies will be out in November this year,  as many gaming sites  recently reported.

Genre: Action

Platforms: Playstaion 3, Xbox 360

Gameplay: Choose a vehicle and prepare for a racing battle with other players and the swarms of undead coming your way. Hard metal meets dead meat, ’cause that what’s in these days, guys ;)

Blood Drive should bring great variety of vehicles and enemies in six different environments, a single player and a multiplayer mode, which will allow up to four friends play together.

Real gamers’ commitment

I read a short article about the earlier Playstation logos and got curious if there were any other variations of the Xbox logo. Searching around the net for pictures about the Xbox I found this image in a Guardian article about Lara Croft going on Xbox. When I saw my first thought was : That’s a real gamers’ commitment!

And they say not enough people cared for games.

The 3rd Birthday trailer is visually exciting but auditorily screwed-up

I’ve never played any of the Parasite Eve games but I have of course heard about the series and know it has a cult following. (Come to think of it: is there any game series without a cult following?)

Belatedly I watched this trailer for the upcoming PSP title The 3rd Birthday and mean to tell you what I thought about it. Hit the jump to find out.

DeTweet will distract you for minutes

DeTweet is a free tower-defence flash game which lets you create your own enemies by entering a keyword and then destroy all tweets that mention it. It is fun for 15 minutes, maybe even half an hour. Let me know if you make it past level 5.
