Favorite US game premieres of the week Sept 27-Oct 3

Greg Hastings Paintball 2

Very original idea to make a first-person shooter about paintball. The sequel of Greg Hastings Paintball will give gamers opportunity to enjoy more than ten single and multiplayer game modes. The arenas in the game are recreations of actual paintball fields from all over the world.

Greg Hastings Paintball 2 will be launched for Xbox 360 and Wii on September 28. The game is scheduled for release on the PS3 as well, but I imagine that would happen at a later date.

Genre: FPS; Developer: Super X Studios; Publisher: Majesco

Favorite Japanese game premieres of the week Sept 20-Sept 26

Singularity

This first-person shooter, which was released in the U.S. in June 2010 for PS 3, Xbox 360 and PC, arrives in Japan on September 22. In Japanese stores the game will first be available only for PS 3 and Xbox 360.

Singularity introduces you to a world where time is instable and you shift fort and back between the 1950s and present day, fighting enemies from all time zones. You have some control over the time shifts, as you possess a time manipulation device.

Finaly Fantasy XIV

The impressive online RPG, developed and published by Square Enix, will be released in Japan a little earlier than in the USA and Europe. The game will hit Japanese stores on September 22, while in the U.S. it is expected on September 30.
