2011 is the year to buy a PS3, if you still don’t have one

Making a rough draft of the games I’ll want to buy in 2011, I’ve come to the conclusion that the platform to get the most play in my house this year will be the PS3 and here is why:

Of the list of 20 most anticipated PS3 games for 2011 made by vgchartz.com nine (ICO / Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection, inFamous 2, Killzone 3, The Last Guardian, LittleBigPlanet 2, PlayStation Move Heroes, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception) are exclusive for the console and six of those (ICO / Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection, Killzone 3, The Last Guardian, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception) are at the top of my must-have list for this year.

Is Blood Drive a split-screen game?

No. This zombie-killing vehicular-combat title for the Xbox 360 and PS3 does not offer any kind of local co-op and its online multiplayer does not support split-screen.

I’ve finished playing the game and am pleased to say that I can confirm my first impressions of it, which were very positive.

After the jump you will find some final notes about the game (there will be some details about gameplay, abilities, trophies and story and maybe some spoilers)

Game diary: More impressions of Prince of Persia:The Forgotten Sands

I’ve gotten further into the game and platforming has become more difficult and challenging. Although sometimes I want to scream (or actually scream) at the screen I do enjoy the new abilities I’ve received from the genie.

Hit the jump for some details about the parts of the game I played since last time (I have to say there are some spoilers there!)

There are trophies for losers? How original!

I’ve recently discovered that you can win a trophy for a game you’re playing, even if you are a loser.

I was awarded the trophy “Coward” in Heavy Rain after I failed to complete a scene as it was intended in the game and did not manage to get an important clue for the case.

Also, in Price of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, which I am playing right now and received the trophy “Floors Are For Losers” after I remained on the floor too long searching for an exit of a room.

I find the idea of making trophies for losers, brilliant. It is fun and it is motivating and hey, even if you suck you still get to have a trophy :D

Game Diary: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

After I’ve officially been Charted (another term for completed the game), I think that the game that I’ve been waiting to play since the beginning of this year, has not entirely disappointed me.

Uncharted 2 to is brilliant, entertaining, fantastic, but…
